St Antony's Convent School

St.Antony’s Convent high school, Gagore, vijaypur was established by the Catholic Diocese of Jammu- Srinagar in September 1998 as a Christian Minority Education Institution under the Indian constitution. It is recognized by the Jammu and Kashmir Government and affiliated to the Jammu and Kashmir state board of school education.

The policy of education in the school run by the Diocesan education society is based on the life and teaching of Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Gospels of the Holy Bible. The policy encompasses the development of a growing consciousness of the human rights and dignity. This enables to live in companionship and communal cooperation. The concern is for all God’s people within the local community where the school is situated and especially for those of Christian faith and the materially weak. Education also includes the development of knowledge and skill enabling a person to be a committed citizen and peace- loving in this world. In this way, God’s plan for his world may be realized and humankind may attain the fullness of life.
